‘Reality Bus’ races at the Hinckley Soap Box

Well it wasn’t actually THE Reality bus but instead a model we have made especially to race on the day. It made 3 very successful runs and even completed the jump on the last run. It was great to be part of such a fun day, look out for both versions of the Reality Bus being out and about.

To find out where the full sized Bus will be over the next few weeks, and for new sessions starting in September 2017 look us up on social media

Reality Prayer Day 2017

The Power Of Prayer

Thank you to all those who supported us at our annual prayer day on Monday 23rd January. The day was a huge blessing to the whole team and we know God will work mightily from it.

As a Christian organisation, we are constantly surrounding our work in prayer and are blessed to have many people praying for us outside the organisation too.

Each January, we come together for a whole day of prayer and all our supporters are invited.  We have times of individual and corporate prayer, for each area of our work: Youth Work (in schools, community & churches), Abundant Life courses, Events and the Administration.  We also take time to pray for each member of the team.

The WKND November 2016

The WKND returned to Hinckley Methodist Church in November with 40 young people enjoying a 24-hour residential of fun, food & friendship.

The Friday evening involved a disco, sports, cafe with crafts, consoles & a film before bed. On the Saturday morning, both the young people and the adults enjoyed the Ice-Skating trip to the Snowdome; skating & singing along to the Christmas songs. In the afternoon, we organised a quiz along with workshops.

As one youth worker commented, “We’ve had an amazing time together this WKND, making new friends, having fun and getting minimal sleep!”

A huge thanks goes to the team at Hinckley Methodist Church for hosting it over the weekend and providing a wonderful food.

The WKND is a 24-hour residential for young people (11+), wherever they are on their Christian journey. The next one will take place in March in Oadby.

Reality Training Day 2016

Not only did full time youth workers attend our training day but also mothers, grandmothers & volunteers made up the 47 people dedicated to supporting our young people. I know many were challenged by the topics centred around Mental Health & Self-harm, but that they went away feeling supported.

Thanks to all who attended on Saturday. It was an amazing day of worship, sharing, training, equipping and fellowship. Our prayer is that you will feel more equipped to help young people to navigate the ever more difficult years of adolescence. May God bless you in all you do for him.

A special thanks goes to our hosts: Oadby Baptist Church; our speakers: Helen Gale & Louise McGoldrick; and Tim Neville for providing sound & IT support.

Our training day took place on Saturday 24th September at Oadby Baptist Church
